Our staff is a team dedicated to bringing the wonder and excitement of STEM to as many students and families as possible.
Leadership Team
Chris is a 5th grade teacher in Wallingford. His interest in space and science was the foundation for CT STEM Academy. He has over fifteen years of experience in participation, coordination and implementation of science education programs in the state of CT. He has received multiple national awards including the Horace Mann Award for Teaching Excellence from the NEA.

Kerry has been teaching for 18 years and is currently a Math Interventionist in an elementary school in Wallingford. She received her undergraduate degree in English and elementary education at Molly College in New York and has a MS of Education from Quinnipiac University. She enjoys movies, reading and watching soccer.

Our Staff
Ruby Hsu has been an educator for over 10 years and is a 2012 alumni of the Mikelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy. She has taught grades 4, 5, K-5 reading and math intervention in CT and abroad in Morocco. Ruby has a passion for learning and teaching science and nature.

Bridgette has been working for the CT STEM Academy for two years. She is a senior at Quinnipiac University, and is perusing a major in Elementary Education (for which she will receive her masters next year!). Bridgette is a valued member of the STEM team taking on all challenges, and has learned so much from this opportunity.

Mouna has been working with stem for 7 years, 2 of those years as a volunteer. She is now a student at University of Connecticut studying molecular and cell biology on the premed track. Stem has allowed her to work with kids in all different areas and get experience with STEM itself, and she is on her way to becoming a pediatrician.

Mckenzie is a kindergarten teacher entering her third year teaching. She graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2017 earning her teaching masters, and has worked for the CT STEM Academy for three years as a lead facilitator. She loves getting to work with students of all ages, and knows how to make learning fun!

Dan has been an educator for 5 years and has taught 4th grade as well as math intervention at the elementary level. He loves working with students on coding, robotics, and Lego challenges. He is passionate about teaching science and math, and likes helping students solve problems together. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking.

Mckenzie has been the coordinator for the New Britain programs along with Daniella Dennis for many years. She is currently working on her masters in Biomolecular Sciences hoping to get into Medical School within the next three years. She enjoys working with students and showing them that science can be fun!

Jessica is currently in her second year of working for CT STEM Academy. She is a junior Elementary Education major at Quinnipiac University in the MAT program. She very much enjoys being a part of this team and working so closely with her fellow employees. She encourages and is excited about all of the great experiences and opportunities that she has gained from working with CT STEM Academy and looks forward to all that is ahead!
